Eddie Ahn is the executive director of Brightline Defense ("Brightline"), an environmental justice nonprofit. In addition to coalition-building and direct service programs in job training and air quality monitoring, Brightline has established itself as a leader for its research and analysis in sustainable environments, clean energy, and workforce development policies.

Jacob Virges
Jacob Virges is a spoken word poet and youth advocate based in Oakland, California, where he serves as Youth Director at Urban Strategies Council. His work centers on digital equity, using spoken word performance to speak to issues like the digital divide and broadband access for underserved communities. He has performed at events including the California Emerging Technology Fund's digital equity initiatives and the Oakland Broadband For All Digital Equity and BEAD Regional Planning Workshop, and has been featured by organizations like UC Global Health Institute (UCGHI).
Youth Speaker: Diana Gomez-Ochoa
a native of East Palo Alto, grew up noticing significant environmental disparities between her hometown and wealthier neighboring cities, prompting her to dedicate her career to addressing these disparities and mitigating the resulting environmental and health dangers. In June 2026, she graduated from UC Davis with a B.S. in Human Development and a minor in Public Health Sciences. She has previously interned at the U.S. Energy Foundation, interviewing non-profits on climate change mitigation. Inspired by the work of environmental leaders nationwide, she co-developed brochures on climate-driven flooding as a Youth Council Member with the San Francisco Estuary Partnership. Diana now works as an Environmental Justice Program Assistant at Nuestra Casa, where she engages with her community and continues to learn about the ongoing struggles of environmental injustices.
